I just watched my Seahawks take out, and spanked, the only undefeated team in the league(49niners) and made it look tasty even down to the finger tips.
GO SEAHAWKS!!
We're going to the world famous Super Bowl!!
Who needs baseball or soccer when Football is all we need ……...

Them fighting words sir, and part of the on going discussion. What sport is better, NFL Football or soccer. And don't get me wrong Soccer is interesting when the sport is played at a very high level by two prominent teams but when two average teams are on the pitch it can be a multiple experience showing nothing but defense and very little offense. But the World Cup is the best example of Soccer. The NFL is pure love everywhere you look!

Regrettably, American Football isn't at all popular among BE members, Windy. For me, it's a kind of poor man's Rugby League - extremely slow-motion, and with too many silly rules***. Still, I've been in the neighbourhood long enough to enjoy watching it on telly. I've only ever seen one game live, and that was forty years ago in Los Angeles from a seat that was halfway between earth and Mars.
*** I'll get into the silly rules later...
Quite often, the silly rules and poor umpiring decisions are too much for me, and I leave the room. Last night I watched the first half of the Eagles v Giants game and then gave up. The quality of the Eagles was too pathetic. But coming back to the TV an hour or more later I found the game was still going, in OT! So I missed the comeback! Enjoyed the final drive, though.

I don't do the NFL very often, only watch soccer at international level and, historically, don't really do team sports. That changed when I was introduced to high school football, it's quite an eye opener going to your first high school football game with several thousand spectators and the glitz of a strong marching band and accompanying dancers, cheerleaders, etc.
We follow Clemson college and my missus keeps an eye on D1 and D2 teams where ex-students of hers play, having an offensive player on the USC gamecocks squad has been tough on her!!!
Attending the 2018 Clemson-Syracuse game was mind-blowing, it's not often you see 80,000+ people all in orange!!! The recent bowl game we went to was fun and better still that one of her recent favourite students was on one of teams punt return squad. Not all bowl games are the same though, the quality of the two teams we saw at the same bowl last year was absolutely abysmal and we'd had enough by half time.
But it's still not the same as playing number 8...
