Not sure what happened with Keane. Hes a proven scorer, given time, and the right delivery he would have come good. Expecting him to play like Torres though was deluded.

So, now we are dependent on Torres staying fit ( like we werent before anyway)...God help us. Man U look ominous, but it only takes a couple of results and its all change again. Without cover up front its going to be a long run in though!

I suspect Keane went to maximise the resale value and minimise having to pay the next instalment, but without bringing in cover (the CL squad list is telling!) its almost certainly going to have a negative effect on the pitch. Odd for Rafa to make such an obvious miscalculation.

Has anyone else noticed that Rafael Benitez is actually an anagram of Spanish wanker?

Villa up to 3rd and only 3 points behind Liverpool. (and 2 behind United, but they have 2 extra games to play).
Villa in the Champions league?
Villa premier league champions?
Well done Mr O'Neill.

Absolutely. He has worked miracles with his squad, and they are not just getting results - they are getting results in an entertaining and skillful way.

I think that's a very good 3 points for us.
West Ham always seem to give us problems, especially at Upton Park (or is it the Boleyn ground now?)

Yeah good game, not much in it. It's always been the Boleyn ground it's at Upton Park.

Odds from Skybet for the premier league championship.

Man United 1/7
Liverpool 6/1
Chelsea 20/1
Villa 33/1
Arsenal 80/1

1/7?? Seems a bit much. United are only 5 points ahead of Liverpool with 13 games to go.

I'm a Liverpool supporter born 'n bred, but I think my money would be on United ...... I can't see anybody catching them now they have a clear lead.

Never say never....they might yet get injury problems or take their eye off the ball with European distractions etc....not likely, but stranger things have happened. Much depends on the meeting of the two in march too...that's a real 6 pointer. Liverpool win that and then its only one result either way...

Not to single you out but I hate that phrase! There's no such thing as a 6 pointer. It's 3 points!!!

Not in this case as if Liverpool lose they go from (for the sake of argument) potentially being 2 point back to 8 points back... at which point its a lost cause. Even my optimism wont stretch that far!
