I bet Huddersfield fans were saying something similar many years ago as well. It's over 20 years since your last league title... that's a long, long time, and you don't look like changing that run anytime in the medium term.

I think you really need to be from either Manchester or Liverpool to understand the rivalry between the two clubs, and cities for that matter.

We have won 18 league titles and we have 5 European championship titles.

I will like to see what happens to ManU after Fergie has gone, you have Man City to deal with as well.

Just because I am a Londoner, it doesn't mean I don't understand the rivalry between the two cities, my aunt is a scouser. I go to Liverpool quite a lot and my Mum's cousin lives in Mancehester.
Sir Matt Busby cried his eyes out when Bill Shankly passed away

Ancient history now. When do you think you will any of them again?

I agree, it's going to be very interesting handling Fergie's retirement. As for Citeh....."noisy neighbours" summed them up perfectly.

You'll see, we will be top 4 by 2012/2013 season. Perhaps by 2013/2014 if we have a good manager.

Who do you think will take over once Fergie retires ?

As for City, they are a close 2nd behind you and you have an ageing team now. Maldini can get any player he wants.

Who knows? Mourinho seems to be the name that's suggested all the time.

New UEFA financial regulations will put a stop to that soon. City will have to live within their means.... its why they are spending stupid money at the moment.

you do remember that between 1967 and 1993 you didn't win any league titles, my maths tells me that's a baron spell of around 26 years, so our 20 year spell isn't that bad......err......i think!

Roy gone... Kenny back in charge. Backward step in my view as Dalglish never really achieved much when he was manager in the past.... and all done just before a cup game against your biggest rivals. Smacks of desperation

Just to add.. I know Dalglish won three titles as manager, but I could have done the same with the team he inherited.

so?

really, so?

apart from looking good on the record sheet, how does that nugget of history from the archives help you right here right now?

it doesn't, you're still on shit street............

winning today is what matters, not winning 10 years ago.

Arsenal have the other problem, they're concentrating on what their kids may win in 5 years time, trouble is, 5 years time never comes.
