They're probably saving her for that 20 minutes mind drift.

Too many careless passes again.
Lucky to still be in the game at half time.

Indeed, USA had the precision whereas England didn't.

Bravo USA.

With one or two exceptions it seems the US team has little difficulty overwhelming opponents but without making it count in the score.

Lionesses could still be the 2nd runner up team.....or as normally known as the 3rd place bronze medal winners. Fingers crossed for that!

I'm hoping the Netherlands win tomorrow.

What does everyone make of the controversy surrounding Alex Morgan's simulated tea-cup sip?
All just seems a bit of fun , but the critics are up in arms.

Storm in a tea cup.

I read some stuff about other meanings to the tea.
I'm happy enough that it was a humorous thing. Note even the little finger was sticking out.
Goal celebrations are almost always fun. Nothing wrong with a bit of mickey taking. It's not like she ran around with an "in your face" sort of thing.

It's like ear cupping if you've been the target of abuse from the crowd.

Remember Gazza's flute playing?

"Critics are up in arms" ?? Wot, I thought that was how they got noticed/paid/bumped.

As is obvious, I don't do social muddier or whatever it's called. I wish loads more didn't either, then bandwidth usage might drop and there'd be a price war. :p

Yup, a bit of fun. We like fun.

I didn't have internet, but I still got Google notifications. So when I saw the picture of Morgan (with no way to click to the actual article), I thought the issue was her doing the white supremacists OK sign

Didn't read it on Social Media ; saw it mentioned by news and the Daily Mail.

Here is a local Houston TV station talking about how the tea-sipping gesture isn't going over well in England.

Mistake #1.You read the Daily Mail
Mistake #2. You read local Houston News.

The Mail is certainly trash, but among all that trash is the occasional news story not on celebs and nonsense.

I saw the Houston news story on Yahoo's homepage, which used to be a decent place to find news, but has gone down hill starting a few years ago.

Got the mistakes in early today. Damn shame but gave themselves too much to do.

England Player of the Finals - Lucy Bronze, no question. Played on one leg for the cause near the end.
