Poor old George Russell, despite winning the feeder series last year, Lando Norris continues to take the headlines for the up and coming also rans. No one even seems to mention how terrible Williams are anymore. They dont even have unreliability to save them as they finish the race. A Norris retirement gets more coverage than Russell full laps.

I'm sure poor Toto will be along to explain how Merc are actually the underdogs again. Tedious wanker.

So this race marks the date that I actually hit fast forward during a race. Three times actually. I don't think I've ever done that before.

Now that Merc have won the drivers and constructors for this year we can concentrate on other things..

Will Vettel quit this year?
Who will replace him if he does?
Who is in line to have the 2nd Williams inflicted on them after Kubica finally goes away? My vote goes to James May.

Good post. Russell seems a class act.. Hopefully his efforts are being noticed by teams that have racing cars.

I saw Kubica was first out for Qualifying on Saturday. I think it was just so he could say he was top of the leaderboard (for about 20 seconds).

Does anyone else think that the 'pit wall chats' with a team boss should just go away? Most of the time it's impossible to understand them and when you do get a native English speaker, they're not about to give away anything useful anyway.

Most of the pit wall chat could be done away with. This weekend I thought it was particularly bad, for the exact reason you mention. Horner sometimes makes some interesting comments or offers some insights into what is going on (obviously without compromising his team) but most of the others are useless. If we are getting rid of "useless chat" can we also shitcan "Crofty"? Useless pillock. Maybe hire someone who punches him in the face every time he starts to say something.

Not this year, I suspect. Is there one track that suits their car better than the ones we have visited so far?

Who will be the new Ferrari team boss next season. Don't see the current one lasting more than this season.

They never should have got rid of Luca. Hindsight I guess.

Turning the team principal position into a revolving door likely isn't the path to organisational performance. If the organisational structure and process they're using to develop the car isn't producing results as rapidly as their competitors perhaps they need to change the organisational structure process?

It looks to me like Red Bull are getting closer. Max has progressed as a driver and isn't crashing as frequently, no doubt the Red Bull young drivers program will yield more talent to join him before long.

ON POLE POSITION

The exact date of the race weekend, the full event program and all information about the tickets are to be announced in the upcoming weeks, but we want to give as many race fans as possible to attend the F1 Dutch Grand Prix. Do you want to be there for the race event? Then register on this website from 27 May 2019 and be on pole position to purchase tickets.

Worst kept secret ever. But nice to know its now official.
I like Zandvoort, I hope they dont mess it up with the redesign. But they will have to make it wider at least, unless no overtaking is an actual part of the sport now.
No new tracks this year, two next..
