Thanks guys... I finally got to watch it. Confusing as Chan4 send me email reminders for shows, but I got 3 different ones for qualifying, all at different times and, in each case, the link didn't work.

Anyhow, Now that I've seen it I sorta wish I hadn't bothered. Did you sit all through that? I gave up in Q2.

The reminder link that Chan4 sent me for the race (predictably) didn't work, so I guess I will look again later on. Maybe.

Wanna shoot me a PM on that by any chance? I have a PC permanently attached to the TV, which I use for BBC / English TV. I also have a Roku for Netflix / Prime etc, but always interested in learning something new.

From what I can tell it's by using Kodi (XBMC) so you can probably achieve the same on your PC.

No sign of the race highlights on chan4 website for me. Qual yes, but race no.

Meh.

Race finally showed up on my Chan4 page.

It was ok I guess.

The cars still sound shit (no surprise).

Good to see a bright yellow car (or any color that isn't black/grey/silver really) on track.

Haas did well in their first race. A few points on the board is a good way to start.

Alonso was a lucky man I think. Good job the McLaren isn't very fast or he might have hurt himself.

The race coverage seemed ok overall, though I do miss iPlayer.

Yeah.. Not sure what was going on. Reminders were coming through ok, but the content was missing. Finally sorted itself out about 8pm last night.

I am still enjoying the new format, particularly the end of Q3 where the four protagonists had lots of clear uninterrupted track to show their respective ability.

I'm enjoying watching the Haas (Ferrari/Dallard) beat team with much bigger budgets and much more experience. Grosjean must have thought he was well into the twilight of his career when he joined a team cobbling together a car from the spare parts bin.

I understand that the Haas is actually based almost entirely on the 2015 Ferrari and is not really built from scratch so its performance isn't actually that surprising.

With the success Gene Haas has had in other forms of motor racing, especially in NASCAR where one of the Stewart-Haas teams won the Sprint Cup championship last year. The surprise is not that they seem to be doing well, more they are doing well out of the box.
