They qualified by default, rather than going through it....be poor form having a host not qualify

The Ukraine probably would have qualified on their own right, but saying that, this is the first one they are in.

Some interesting games

Decent draw for England, they could quite easily win the group or finish last. Will be 3 close matches. Thought France outplayed them when they met in a friendly not that long ago but how much of a bearing that has is difficult to tell.

I'd like to see Spain win it, would be fitting for this team to go down in history

I was all up for the world cup, didn't think we'd win it, but thought we had a shot of not embarrassing ourselves........ but we managed that too.

I'll never emotionally invest more than the bare minimum in them until they emotionally invest in the three lions too.
