Reminds me of the time I was told by a Tesco manager that they were refusing to sell me alcohol at 8.30am as I obviously had a drink problem if I needed it that early. I pointed out that I was a night-shift Security guard, and that I was on my way home from work.

4 months later, I am working for a different Security company, working at the same Tesco, and the manager had been transferred to another store.

Wankers. Buying more at 0830 is the sign of a great night.

Class act, good PR or an empty promise
Yeovil Town's first-team players and staff have pledged to refund the 258 supporters who travelled to watch the club's heavy defeat to Luton on the opening day of the League Two season.

The Glovers opened their campaign with a humiliating 8-2 defeat at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

I can't remember Arsenal doing that in August 2011 when they went Oop North.;)

I was under the impression that the refund was given as they had to travel to that shithole on the South Coast

No. It was payment for the lesson in football they received from the worlds greatest academy and the honour of playing at the home of football, St Mary's.

So a famous Swedish singing group now have a penalty shootout named after them ABBA.
I was never confident that Agnetha would score from the spot.

Seems to have worked for Arsenal.

Yup. I'm going to take a leaf from Ed's book seeing as he's at the Women's golf today, and say that we've won more trophies than anyone else this season!

I like the new penalty shootout format.

Err the odd dipper might argue with you as they won the Asia PL title and then lost the Audi cup on penalties.

Sorry, I forgot to mention our Emirates Cup trophy win if we're including limited-entry pre-season tournaments as well.

So now we're only the official holders of 2 major trophies? The shame!

United v Wet Spam on Sunday, man it feels good to say that. But then I got an email from MUFC this weekend. 2 hours of security checks before every game, and 3 years of major roadworks on the Manchester ring road. Awesome. With TV meaning all United's games will now be at shit hours, I can't even get trains. What a massive pain in the arse.
