Seems so - him and Walker and possibly Mendy

I'd like to see us going for the following players.

Gueye (Everton), Forsberg (Leipzig), Lacazette (Lyon).

Be careful what you wish for.....

Even the greatest player in one league isn't guaranteed to be that great in another league.

Come now Dave... he COULDN'T be worse than Clownio, and from what I've heard of him, he's a beast of a man already.... :(

Mind you, with Otamendi in front of him, I hope he remembered his gloves.... :sneaky:

Have they sorted out his third-party ownership yet? I thought the PL stopped allowing them after the Mascherano issues.

Interestingly, if performance is only based on stats, Otamendi actually gets in the EPL team of the year but then so does Pogba so that must be complete horse's doodah ;)

As you say he has got to be better than Clownio - full backs next on the list and a centre back to remove the Otamendi issue.

Current rumours suggest Walker, Mendy and Van Djik are next few targets all of whom are better than our current options.

I think the only hold up is his previous club own half his image rights so it's not 3rd party ownership as such.

I understand the excitement surrounding the signing of Ederson but I reckon there should be even more over Bernardo Silva.

Are you actually keeping any of your current players

Well if they're surplus to requirements, I'd be very happy if they sent Aguero and KDB to Goodison.

 keeping a few maybe:

KdB, Auguero, G Jesus, Sane, D Silva, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Yaya, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolorov and, unfortunately Sterling.......

I think B Silva is indeed an exciting signing and can't wait to see G Jesus play a full season too.

We just need some full backs and may be Carvallho to play defensive midfield to complete the set (Alexis Sanchez would be a bonus but we don't really need him).

Big Willy
Clichy

Sagna
Jesus N

Probably going are;

Iheanacho

Hart

So - as you'll now know, and as we agreed, the old thread is dead. Let us speak no more of transitional seasons, Wenger Out, bottle jobs or Liverpool.

It is a new dawn. And I for one, can't wait.

Well as long as we don't bottle it, like we did at the end of last season, beating Leicester 6-1 and Hull 7-1, I will be happy!

In the last two seasons;

Won the most.
Scored the most.
Conceded the fewest.
Lost the fewest.
Net spend of pocket change.

Natural born bottlers.

72 / 2 = 36.
This was done before the end of the season.
38 + 38 = 76 total games in 2 seasons.

Surely you're pleased to see that picture? You've displayed huge levels of consistency across the most of two seasons. If you can get it right when it matters, you might win the league.

Until then....Bottlers.

Obsessed much...?

https://sincespurslastwonatrophy.co.uk/

It's quite ironic that due to Spurs rivalry with Arsenal, the Spurs fans are are trying to emulate the Arsenal fans with constant nonsensical mouthyness despite winning bugger all for years.

In other news, who the hell are Southampton going to sell their average players to now that they've allegedly reported Liverpool to the EPL for trying to tap up the dutch defender dude.

High! They run on a different calendar to every one else.

I suspect that fact they have overpaid for some foreign winger no one has ever heard of and are illegally tapping up other clubs players will see them at their usual height of optimism come kick off.

Win it in October and take the rest of the season off as always.

I doubt she'd be obsessed with a club whose football is the biggest turn off out of the "Big 6".

That'll have been us this season in fairness:

1 Man City 10 7 2 1 24 9 +15 23
2 Arsenal 10 7 2 1 23 10 +13 23
3 Liverpool 10 7 2 1 24 13 +11 23
4 Chelsea 10 7 1 2 21 9 +12 22
5 Tottenham 10 5 5 0 14 5 +9 20
6 Everton 10 5 3 2 15 8 +7 18
7 Watford 10 4 3 3 14 13 +1 15
8 Man United 10 4 3 3 13 12 +1 15

Liverpool would have been 3rd ;)

No-one has ever heard of Salah? Liverpool and Chelsea fans will have heard of him since he was meant to join us for $11M a few years ago then decided to join Chelsea instead where he failed miserably. Personally I think he's a terrible buy as it just means we'll lose 2 right sided wingers to the AFCON tournament every few years rather than just the one.

As for tapping up Van Dijk if we can be done for that then United should be complaining about Real Madrid wanting DDG, Everton should be complaining about Chelsea etc wanting Lukaku and Southampton can complain about pretty much any player they have who can kick a ball as they all seem to be linked to going elsewhere. Out of all the players we've got off Southampton only Mane has been reliably decent (And even that was just one season), the others have occasional bursts of quality but can't be relied up on. In fact Van Dijk would probably be a replacement for Lovren so if anything the ****ers should be giving us a discount not complaining.

Yet the opposite is clearly true.

However, It's horrible winning all these trophies playing dull football. I don't know what it's like to play attacking football and win nothing. We've never done that. How does it feel?

Must, must try harder.
