No, Scholar was Sugar's predecessor, I'm pretty sure, and overseen a decade when Spurs won a total of two FA Cups (1981 & 1982) and the UEFA Cup (1984).

As for his claims that SAF "reneged" on an agreement to manage Spurs, that IMO is utter bullshit, as I remember SAF stating at the time he joined United that we were one of only two clubs in England big enough to lure him away from his success at Aberdeen, the other club being the urchins from down the East Lancs Road, whom he then set about 'knocking off their f**kin' perch'....

Well if it is true then I hope Spurs fans won't be sending emails or trolling this Fergie

Sugar bought Spurs in 1991 after Irvine Scholar had all but crippled and bankrupted the club.

I doubt if Fergie had taken the job he would have lasted long for many reasons.

The rest is history. I'm actually surprised Irvine Scholar is still alive.

Imagine how insufferable their fans would be if they’d actually won something?
Either way, it's just an excuse to laugh at Spurs a bit more.

Saw this and it made me chuckle:

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson made his international debut for Brazil this week, as the country managed to get a great 3-0 win over Chile.

The 24-year-old was barely threatened by Chile’s attack, and the lack of work even convinced him to stay on the pitch during half time to continue warming up.

Jesus looked immense too. Frighteningly composed. Top player - unlike his namesake, he didn’t look scared of crosses.

The foot race between Clownio Bravo and Jesus was funny only one winner there

Compiled this on Wednesday evening, and would probably swap Martial for Rashford, on reflection, as the English kid works back harder than Martial, but either way it should be a tough afternoon for Joe Gomez...

From the Press Conference today Jose on the team formation
Mourinho on his set up
“I play with one defender and nine strikers, don’t worry about it, we play with one guy behind and then we go with a new system and we play with nine strikers, don’t worry about it.”

So DeGea in goal, Bailly as a defender then which 9 strikers

well as you only have 1 decent defender = Valencia it makes sense

DeGea

Valencia,

Miki, Lingard, Mata, Rashford, Martial, Lukaku, Ibra, Young and Fellani
