As a Scouser I have many reasons to hate Manchester, the weather being just one more to add to the list.

I wonder if the two run victory will have kept us in the Ashes hunt only long enough to see the Manchester weather turn the tide once more?

i reckon we can still get a result.

Just make sure they are chasing a lead of about 400 (wont take us long to get that... hopefully) then put them into bat and bowl them out. Sorted

I expect the Aussies to score no more than 421.

it's gonna be a long day for the Aussies, defencive batting all day often has it's pitfalls.

let's just hope the weather holds up.

Weather should be OK, http://www.channel4.com/news/weather...ity=Manchester
Will the Aussies play for the draw, or audaciously go for the win???

Bring it on !!

Them spots of rain don't look very encouraging

I think they have to go for a draw, 423 (399 when you take away yesterdays 24 runs) is a huge total to chase in a second innings especially in one day, don't think that has been done before.

So if the rain stays away I go for a win for us.

We are in Stockport at the moment so we have been watching the cricket on TV. There are 15,000 tickets on open sale for today's play so hubby and son have gone to see if they can get in. Let's just hope the rain holds off. My son (who is 14 today) has really enjoyed watching The Ashes and so we are off to buy a cricket set tomorrow to take back to NJ on Wednesday.

One hour after posting this reply - hubby and son have just arrived back so are now sat watching it on TV.

Apparently they turned away upto 10,000 fans :scared:

Anyone would think that we dont get the chance to beat the Aussies too often.
