News is it's been completed. Time for players to suddenly decide they have supported Newcastle all their life and are moving there to win trophies and it's nothing to do with large sums of money.

Read something years ago and Newcastle's biggest problem is never going to change. They're in the arse-end of nowhere and whilst it's a very, very pretty city, it's a remote cauldron of expectation that's only going to rocket from here. London is an easy sell, Manchester / Liverpool are huge clubs and cities with lots happening to attract the international players. Newcastle doesn't quite have the same draw.

A mate has a mate who's an agent, when a player signed for Saints he showed us the email - it's was unreal, the pros and cons of Saints and another club, one of the highest points on the list in favour of Saints was 'an hour from London'....it was up there with how we were performing well at the time etc. It's obviously important for an overseas player and their families.

I'm not saying they won't chuck money at people and sign them but was something I'd never considered until I'd read that article or whatever it was a while back.

I guess if you offered Kim Jong Un a place on the subs bench he might consider taking over the team.

The Saudis aren't the first dodgy owners of a PL club... Weren't there rumours about Abramovich. But money talks, and when the club wins trophies, their fans will join the ranks of others who accept no criticism of their club and owners.. Ashley would have been a saint to NUFC fans had they been successful.

Newcastle takeover: Winning PR battle just the start as owners worth £700bn seek to emulate Man City success

Bonus I guess he might help with shirt sales by ordering all North Koreans to wear one and like many finds streams to watch games for free as they have no broadcasting rights. I wonder if he would have had Van Gaal or Moyes disappeared?
