Playing well for his next move? ....

Bertrand went to Leicester and Vestergaard followed. Ings to Villa so we're just focusing on the Midlands market now.

We've got the new Armstrong who scored yesterday on a deal and signed a couple of defenders which was desperately needed.

Reality is, we're just looking like a very, very, very top Championship side now, like Arsenal.

Isn't comparing the top championships to Arsenal a tad harsh?

i think the top championship sides are much better than that ;)

It's funny that Spurs won but are still only 10th, how often are there no draws in the Premier League?

Breaking News...

due to existing covid cases and a massive outbreak expected from the weekend's attending masses, the 2021-22 Premier League has been brought to an early end with Manchester United designated Champions and Chelsea as runners up.
Liverpool and West Ham take the remaining Champions League spots.

It is anticipated that Everton and Brentford will appeal as they had the same goal difference as the Hammers who had an unfair advantage in playing Newcastle.

What are the chances of City changing their mind and going for Son instead?

next to none but they might look under the sofa to find an extra 50 mil for Kane - badly need a goal scoring prescence up top

It's Tottenham's year.

They beat one of the best club sides in the world and the current champs.

Only Spurs could **** it up from here.

I must share this comment from a guardian reader

As an Arsenal fan, it’s not all doom and gloom. At the start of the weekend we were bottom, and at the end we’ve moved up four places. At this rate we’re looking at a title challenge, just be patient.

Reading about Aguero's latest injury made me look at how much he was available last season.
Just 12 appearances in the Prem but as usual that doesn't tell the story. Apparently only 7 starts, and subbed off in 5 of those. I don't know how many of those were injury related, time wasters or hooks but only 7 of 38 started.

One might make a case that compared to other seasons he was missed but City won the Prem at a canter, outscoring everyone else, won the League Cup as usual and made the Champions League final. Almost without him.

They're not really any worse off this season and one might argue that with Grealish they're in a better attacking position than last season.

They'll score enough goals from possession and chances to win as often as usual - and perhaps more - so long as they're not dependent on Ake and Mendy for their defence.
