Just look at what you wrote and tell me this isn't one of the most ironic posts you have ever made. Reason they have run out of gas is that it has all been siphoned off probably by some of their own supporters. Still 68 games unbeaten at home is some feat (now goes to wash mouth out with soap and have a bath in Dettol).

It has been over 40 years since I was last at Victory Park and looking at it tonight apart from new seats in the main stand and a paint of coat on the fence at the Pilling Lane end nowt much else has changed.

The Old Skool vibe, (polite way of saying its dead antwaky, and nothing has changed) is what I like about the atmosphere at non-league grounds.

Plus the fact it's easy to get a cup of bovril or something.

Speaking of seats, I noticed that in one of the Fulham stands the other day they had a load of the old wooden ones. I was quite shocked at that.

Commentator was going on about the Victory Snack Shack doing a good lettuce sandwich on rye bread but his co commentator would prefer a burger. Bollocks what's wrong with a good meat and potato/ steak and kidney pie and yes a lot easier and quicker to get a cup of Bovril than some grounds I've been on. Well the dream has ended but Chorley folks will be proud of their effort in this cup run and losing 1-0 to Wolves is no disgrace.

I was born there and basically lived there for 28 years until I came to Canada in 1988.

Good thing about being from Chorley is that there are no Arsenal fans unless one is a transplant from London.
