There is a Major League of Rugby Union now- but I wondered if there was any competition in the community. There are a few teams in Toronto, it's played in some schools and as a result there are some pitches.

Watching Union here on TV was non-existent till 2015, when they screened every World Cup game, but with DAZN you can see 6 Nations now and the UK competition although I'm yet really dial in.

The owner of the Toronto Rugby Union side connected with me on LinkedIn because I was a poster on Wolfpack content so often.

I wasn't big into Rugby but most sports teams here are owned by a conglomerate called Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and I try to get involved with anything they don't own as I think their monopoly on the major sports is horrific- it's why I don't pay much attention to TFC.

I’ve seen the odd amateur thing, but this is a big expat location, which is largely driving it. We also have a huuuuuuuge cricket complex just north of here.

There are adverts about “Rugby 101” run about the Sabercats, it seems to be mainly novelty value for locals, with a bit of expat interest. There’s catchment for 8 million+ people here, so if it can’t get going here it’s going to struggle everywhere.

Seattle has (maybe had) a professional Rugby team, apparently they won the league or something, for 2018, and 2019, cancelled in 2020, probably abandoned for 2021.
I know both my brother-in-law and his wife played Rugby, he went on tour with his school team to somewhere in the Southern hemisphere, he said they got a bit of a shock.
I asked them both if they played Union or League, they didnt know what my question meant. Thats about the only question I know to ask, so the conversation fizzled out after that,

Ah thanks - I was being a bit thick there... But in my defence I'm not a Sun reader like you

No email here obviously it is printed off somewhere else and arrives by carrier pidgeon eventually

Well the goal that isn't a goal this season will be a goal next season. Now that we have VAR why did they change the rule and now changing it again?

Nice to see some fans back at Wembley, or the ‘audience’ as my sister in law likes to call them.

She doesn’t sound like a legacy fan

How's the Dulux Paint sponsorship going?

It's nice to see their social media team have a sense of humour
