18 yo Saka played well in our EL game against Frankfurt this evening. 1 goal and 2 assists in a 3-0 win. Worth keeping an eye on, I think.

Astana would be the sort of team he'd score against.

So far, in Italy, he's following the usual pattern of scoring against the lesser teams.

First game, "silenced his doubters" when he scored against a team just up from Serie B. Then scores against team who were bottom 6/5 last two seasons follows that with a blank against mid table opposition but still described as a huge success with 2 in 3.

Next game against current Czech champions (2 league titles in 3 years, Czech cup last 2 years) and European regulars Slavia Prague. He doesn't score.

Don't want to be too unfair on the big lummock too soon but scores against the two worst teams and doesn't against the two best. It's a familiar story.

Greenwood should be giving Rashford some finishing lessons.

I'm not sure that 116 appearances for ManU and 34 for England counts as being 'young' anymore.

But that's the trouble these days, we talk about appearances rather than games and it's harder to judge how much someone actually plays in terms of full games. Some convert minutes played into 90 minute multiples as if that's anything like an actual game.

And 90 mins against Crawley Town is a lot different than against Man City, Liverpool, Barca or RM.

He's not even 22 yet so loads of time to develop if he has the right attitude to learning... however, if he takes your view that he's not young then he won't improve. I think there is huge potential there but still work to do to unlock it....

So metaphorically speaking Southampton tripped over their own feet, vomited on the train tracks and then went home. The South coast is cherry flavoured.

Did I hear right? The commentator said the match was known as El Clasicoast?
