Fellaini has signed a new contract at United, you won't need to do any more transfer business this summer then.

My favourite post tournament signing ever was Poborsky. Bought on the basis of one goal!

Its believed he took a pay cut as well so he's probably now on a tenner a week.

Flip, lovely to come back in here to familiar 'faces'.... I stumbled into the World Cup thread and wondered if I was actually on the BE website at all.... hordes of 'strangers' giving it all the 'I know footie, me' stuff....

'England' fans..... Many of them have never been to a PL/Championship/L1/L2 game. But it's England, so they support them.

Even though we'll likely beat Colombia, I still don't see us going all the way.

Quite honestly, there's no reason why England shouldn't beat Colombia, especially (as seems possible) if James is out.... this World Cup is wide open, though I fancy the French more every time I see them, if they can overcome the hurdle of having Deschamps as their manager....

reluctant as I am to defend our illustrious moderator he did actually post that a new thread would be opened by a fan of the Champions towards the end of the World Cup - i.e. most unusually, this is not Ed's fault but yours for being premature😉do try and keep up 😈

So to kick off the thread as Ed promised....after last season's surprises I thought we could review some of the preseason predictions last season:

One nitwit predicted Citeh would be relegated and Yernited would win 2 trophies................. idiot.
Ed and Jimbo predicted Guardiola would prove to be a fraud whereas he set 11 new records in scoring 106 goals to get 100 points...........idiots
The Yernited posse predicted Maureen would change his spots and pllay exciting football............idiots
The Liverpool fans predicted that it would be their year (again)..........idiots.
Oh and when Jimbo predicted that the title should be given to Citeh before a ball was kicked lots of people mocked him......... idiots

So given it is highly unlikely that the complete and utter dominance of the Citeh Centurions will be replicated this year, what do you idiots think will happen this season?

Harry Kane claimed more goals last season than Guardiola scored......

It was City who set those new records...

I don't think any of us said that, personally I went as far as to say Salah would be shit.

I'm not making any predictions this year until I know what's going on with our goalkeepers, we can't keep going with the same ones we have but then I said that about Moreno.

My point was that he (Guardiola) scored nothing personally. Yes, he led City to those records, but is was a team effort (including the manager), not Guardiola's.
