At 70:00 minutes, it looks like you might sneak it.

Now that makes me feel old.

The towers at the old Wembley were knocked down 16 years ago. That makes me realise I'm now old.

not sure you are correct Scamp as you won the FA Cup in 76 when the Geordies were beaten by City in the other cup final whereas Newcastle haven't won anything since the 1960s

1969 - the Fairs cup, which kinda became the UEFA cup, so basically we won the Europa league 50 years ago. Nowt since then.

Congratulations again.

But please put yourself on a higher pedestal than that small club from Stockport.

The Charity Shield is not a trophy.

Blimey I didn't expect Kompany to leave, I know he's knocking on a bit but he seemed to play in all the important games this season.

That's the trouble with you big clubs you dismiss smaller competitions, which we small clubs regard as important. Take Liverpool's disrespect of the FA cup this year in an attempt to win the league and compare it with the effort put in by small clubs without your history of success who are desparate for a trophy....

I thought he'd stay another year but Laporte has been the ever present centre back with Vinnie, Stones and Otamendi fighting for the other slot.

A man who predates the oil money and is up there as an all time great for me.
