wow just looked up your previous Brazilians and see what you mean.. never heard of 2 of them, the useless twins, Kleberson and Anderson.. Fred will be a success by comparison whatever he does

We ended up getting a lot of attitude and hands on hips from Paulinho that soon rubbed off on a once very promising Sandro. We suffered some humiliating defeats where you could see the pair often over run due to their sheer lack of effort.
Brazilians are a gamble.

Fabio and Rafael were great though. Rafael especially never had a bad game for us and was one of those players we could do with now.

yeah spot on Jimbo
for us there was Robinho and Elano who were huge talents that couldn't be arsed to put a shift in but now we have Jesus, Fern and Ederson who are first rate and Danilo who is very good. Don't mention Jo though or Maicon who was well past his best when he signed.
Fred is following the Fern route via Ukraine so should not disappear once the cold sets in like Elano did.

Kleberson was indeed gash and yes signed the same day as CR. Funnily enough the last time we signed a Brazilian and a Portugezzer in the same window following LFC losing in a CL final, we won the double. It's destiny.
As for Pereria, he's quality. Hopefully they will bring him back from his lean deal.

so UEFA making more bizzare decisions then.
Liverpool charged for fan thuggery home and away vs City and home and away vs Roma and fined 22K whilst Bestikas were charged with having a cat on the field and fined 30K..... you could not make it up

Also that cat is a decent centre midfielder and I think Southampton have put in a bid.

The vile scenes that were shown on the news of some of the thuggery was hideous. The FA/police need to be much harsher than namby pamby fines, in terms of consequences . To my mind after this sort of level of violence they need to slap a ban on the club playing in European competitions for a season, regardless of whether they qualify for Europe or not, this will hit the club and the fans hard and hopefully make a difference and send out a message to everyone that is is simply not going to be tolerated.

TBF the cat was wearing a Galatasaray shirt and took a piss on the field.

A comment so funny you had to make it twice?
The problem is, despite the madness of this, and the subsequent outcry, nothing will change. UEFA and FIFA are the worst of the worst. Not only are they clearly corrupt and incompetent, but they know they are and just don’t give a shit.
Precisely. It’s 2018. There is no place for violence at a match. European bans / points deductions are the obvious solution but never gonna happen because they don’t have the balls. Mind you, if I knew Liverpool would be banned for crowd trouble I’d be at Anfield with a Liverpool shirt on throwing bottles at Karius. I’d be at the back of a long queue though.

How do we stop violence at games? Points deductions and preventing teams from playing in certain competitions penalise the fans who are behaving themselves. The clubs should only be responsible for the violence if it knows it's going to happen, or if they fail to properly deal with it, but Police forces have dedicated sections to gather football-related intelligence (South Wales Police definitely do). If UEFA and FIFA won't do anything, what else can be done?
Can the FA require clubs to play matches behind closed doors (again penalising all fans), and/or stop the game being televised live?

There's definitely no place for violence at any sporting event, but football still has people who go to matches looking for trouble. And other willing to help them find it. Working the seg lines between the opposing fans, I saw it most weeks with home and away 'fans' more intent on trying to provoke the other into doing something to get the other ejected. Watch the f-ing game guys, it's what you paid a shit load of money to do.
