I would absolutely love it if they hired Pardew or Fat Sam.

It's an interesting one.
Poch has just signed a 5 year deal so Levy will hold Madrid to 40 million quid for the manager to bounce. Conte and Allegri will be cheaper.
It's a great job though and if Madrid were to offer Poch a lot more money than Tottenham then he'd be mad to turn it down. Although we all know he'd be there for 3 years max.
Hopefully Poch gives us another year or two but I have to say I'm not confident. I always knew his next job was Madrid I just didn't see Zidane quitting this year.
We'll see what happens. I dread to think who we bring in if Poch leaves? The only manager down the league I like is Eddie Howe, which would be a gamble, but I'd love to see him given a shot at a club with some muscle. Otherwise it's trying to identify another talented young coach abroad.

Exactly! Poch going to Real and taking Kane with him. Alli to get a long term injury from attempting a quad backflip when throwing himself t the ground during the WC.

As much as he's a **** for leaving us, I don't wish the man too much ill will and think sometimes patience isn't a bad virtue for managers to practice.
Look at Brendand, nearly won the league with a 'big club' and now he's managing in a tin pot championship thinking he's the next messiah.

BUT...there is a risk that Poch knows deep down he's not won anything or achieved anything yet and the big stadium (albeit coming late) will help, the squad he's built will help and the medium term at Spurs looks only positive in reality. Maybe he'll want to stay and be successful there instead of jumping ship, struggling to win the league at Madrid, not with the CL next year, fail to be able to manage those players and end up in two years with a reputation that's taken a bit of a beating.

Welcome to Manchester Fred. Hopefully you'll do better than the Brazilians United have signed previously. We don't seem to do to well with S. Americans overall.

Apparently the Real Madrid President doesn't fancy the negotiation with Levy which is why his interest cooled. He wants a manager quickly but with Levy he could negotiate all summer and end up with no one.
Poch has also said he's quite happy with the Tottenham job so isn't going to make any noise yet. It wouldn't surprise me if things change but I think we're good for now and Madrid will be back in a couple of years for their man.
