Perhaps, but it is sort of worrying that he appears to be a personal friend of the guy who is now locked up for child porn & sex trafficking.... not the sort of characters you'd expect an international footballer to be hanging around.

Like I said, I hope this is a load of shit, made up by a little girl looking to make a 'name' and some money for herself. Spanish Dave is arguably the best keeper in the world, and a player we can't be losing over stuff like this...

Sadly, it seems to be exactly the sort of person you expect an international footballer to hang around with. It seems fame and fortune goes to many a top player's head, they are hero worshipped and then subsequently believe they can do and say exactly what they want and get away with it, and unfortunately for them they are sitting ducks for the media who will jump on any scrap of dirt they can.

Anyway, looking forward to it all kicking off today in France, the OH came home from work today with a box of 24 cans of Stella and 24 cans of old Speckled Hen.....apparently 'they were on offer'

Estonia? That must have been a hard match to win ...

Nobody is destined to clash with anyone. Just watch as they face Iceland in the quarters as they emerge as heroes of their group just like Cameroon did in 1990.

And that is my jumpers for goalposts post of the day
Claire Voyant told me. I said "Are you for real?" and she told me a load of stuff about my family, which she couldn't possibly have known. Even I didn't know, which proves it.

As for Estonia - well England only beat them 2 - 0 last time they met.

Not a mention of scuffles in there zargof. Disappointing - England have already got off to a fine start there.

I call bullshit. Nothing on the BBC or Sky, just a few papers are running with it ("he's sent home / no he isn't") etc. if it were a story, he'd be at home and probably having a chat with the rozzers by now. We'll see how it unfolds, but it seems like a whole lot of crap which is up to the usual British press standards.

Lots of interviews with apparent bystanders saying things were fine until the cops showed up, and the Russians were also looking for trouble - given that English fans have been pretty good for the last few tournaments it does seem out of character, but cheap booze, sunshine and mob mentality are never a good combination. Hopefully it blows over and football stops looking like a thugs' sport again.

Bloody well done to Wales, massive result.

Just witnessed some truly vile scenes from Marseille on BBC news, shame on football fans, once again bringing what should be an enjoyable spectacle of footy into disrepute.

As much as I love football, I think until fans can learn to respect the game, we say no to certain nations being involved in future tournaments. Utter scum!

I said it when he was appointed. Hodgson is a shite manager.

And Stirling cost £50m. Let that sink in. Inept doesn't cover it. The sooner England get knocked out and Smalling comes back fit the better.

Not a good result against Poland, sadly. First half was decent but we just couldn't make any chances once we went down. Still, Germany did us a favour by beating Ukraine by one more goal than Poland scored. Third place is still up for grabs if NI and Poland both win against Ukraine. Whatever happens against Germany is what it is but we can go all out in the third game if we get 3 points on Thursday

Oh, and apparently I missed this gem during the Germany match ...

WTF?

Yeah, VERY disappointing from NI against the Poles, didn't ever really get to grips with the occasion, and it was only a matter of time before the Poles scored. We didn't really take the game to them until very late on, when Super Stevie Davis really should have got on the end of that clever free-kick to get us what in all honesty would have been an undeserved equaliser.

The players will be disappointed- they never showed the inventiveness or form from the qualifying games, and allowed the Poles to make them look like League 1, 2 and Scottish League players, after having looked MORE than most of them actually are during the qualification process.

Good that the Germans won; hopefully they can wallow Poland and then ease off against us; we desperately need a HUGE performance against Ukraine, to go to Paris with 3 points and a slim chance of staying into the knock-out phase.

If Davis was just a step quicker, that would have been a hell of an equaliser. Washington could have had one, too. We just didn't create chances going forward beyond that.

Ukraine is a must win now, then we'll just have to go balls-to-the-wall against Germany and see what happens.

IF we can beat Ukraine, as long as we don't get a hiding from Ze Germans in the final game, 3 points and a decent goal difference might just be enough to get us into the knock-out phase... but the performance needs to be a LOT braver against the Ukrainians, a lot more risks taken in order to create chances for Kyle and Stevie Davis.... the big lad needed to shoot up a flare to let the rest know he was still up there- hardly got a decent ball all day, and when he did he tried a wonder overhead that would have been the best goal of all time if it had gone in...'desperation' doesn't even cover it!!

I was disappointed with McGovern for their goal, thought he should have got a stronger hand to it and pushed it wide, but I guess he did make a good save from their young lad towards the end of the 1st half...
