Default Warnings on iphone

Today I have been getting messages to my phone saying I may have malware or so many minutes to correct security problems. These just pop onto my screen like I get from my CNN app. Been happening about every 15 minutes. Where do these come from and can I block them? Am I assuming correctly it’s some kind of scam attempt. I just ignore them but phone beeps as message appears on screen.
Thanks

Coincidentally I came across something about this recently when looking for something else.
Just going to check my history

....this any good? https://www.2-spyware.com/remove-calendar-virus.html

I didn't pay much attention to it but it mentions a calendar virus and that's what stuck in my head.
