Ex Royal Marine looking for Job in NC
Hi,
My name is Jack.
I’m currently a serving Royal Marine Commando leaving service in August 2018. My situation is my other half lives in Durham NC and I’m looking to find a job to be able to move over and live with her. I have a range of experience and qualifications that being;
- HGV licences and Dangerous goods training
- Qulifications in computing i.e Networking and System support
- Security and surveillance
- Fitness training and knowledge
I’m willing to take on any opportunity and offer I may be able to recieve to give me help into finding a path into the United States. Please feel free to proved me with information and help which will assist me on my journey.

Hi, and welcome to BE.
I assume you're not a US citizen? It's just that your visa options will be very limited from what you've said, do you have a degree? As you won't qualify for a L1 visa, H-1B is most likely (if you do have a degree or equivalent experience, and enough specialist skills for an employer to want to pay thousands in fees to hire you), but that'll be quite a wait to be able to start work.
Is marriage an option?
I would post in the US immi section of the forum so that the wise people there can let you know if you'd qualify for any employment based visa, no point in job hunting if you won't. If not, then I'll get my hat.
