Default Mechanic for Perth needed. Flights, medicals and visas paid. Interviews April.

Hello to all mechanics out there

I have advertised here a couple of times before, on behalf of the company that I work for, to try and get Mechanics to come to Perth. It is a genuine offer and I would not be in Perth if was not for this offer and it's great to give others a chance.

The company is the RAC of WA (Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia). www.rac.com.au My employer is the largest motoring organisation in Western Australia and have recently celebrated 100 years of service to WA.

An emerging part of the business is Auto Services which is expanding to all area of Perth and hopefully state wide at a later date.
RAC Auto Services provides friendly, local vehicle servicing you can trust. Fully qualified technicians provide you with high quality servicing and repairs at a competitive price. We can meet all your vehicle servicing needs.
Our experienced technicians can perform all types of vehicle servicing:
They are currently recruiting Motor Vehicle Mechanics for various locations in and around Perth. Currently there are 5 locations both North and South of the river, Joondalup, Balcatta, Perth City, Bently, Myaree and there is a location in Mandurah. 2 new sites are planned for this year and expansions are planned for existing sites.
The type of candidate they are looking for are experienced and qualified motor vehicle mechanics to join our existing team. Key responsibilities will include; servicing and repairing motor vehicles (car and 4X4), diagnosing faults, and test driving vehicles.

Interviews are to be held between the 1st and the 12th of April in Luton, Bedfordshire, where the Operation Manager will be on Vacation, but is willing to meet with anyone seriously interesting in coming to live and work in Perth and work for the RAC.

Initially you will be on a 457 visa (unless you already have a visa) which will be arranged and paid for by the RAC. All your medicals will be paid for and the Mechanics flight to Perth will be paid.
On arrival you will be met at the airport and have you initial accommodation paid for. We had somewhere to stay when we arrived and so we had a hire car for a couple of weeks.
In addition to this, there is an allowance of 80kg to airfreight your tools over.

Once here and settled, you can apply for Permanent Residency which will be sponsored by the company (if you wish).
They are proposing a sponsored Permanent Residency scheme where they will offer a loan of $5000 to cover the cost of the Residency Visa, which will be deducted each fortnight from your wages. Then, every 6 months they will pay you back the money deducted (less the loan interest) as a way of a loyalty bonus to reward you for continued employment.

So if you want to get some information about the interviews in April please contact me and I will get things organised. You are encouraged to attend the interviews as a family and the Operation Manager would like nothing more to meet both the Mechanic and their partner/wife. The RAC fully understand the enormity and life changing decision you'll be making, it's most important to be fully informed and make the decision together.

Please send a PM (Private message) if you want to know more and I'll give my email address to send your resume to.
Opportunities like this do not come along every day.... good luck.

Neil.

Hi there

You need to move fairly quick. The Operations manager is in the UK right now and will conducting interviews in Luton Bedfordshire, in the next weel or so.

If you can send me you contact details and a resume/cv, I can pass all the details on to Terence Mclaughlan, who will then contact you.

It is expected that you would go with you partner/wife. The RAC wishes the partners to be involved from the out set and help you to make a joint desision.

Let me know if you are interested and email me at [email protected]

I am just off to the airport right now and so can't write much more, but I will as soon as I get chance.
Here's the RAC web site www.rac.com.au

Regards

Neil.

Further to my original post.....

We have 2 new workshops opening in the next 5 weeks, 1 in Osbourne Park and the other in Morley.
The Morley site is quite big and will specialise in engine rebuilds as well as servicing and repairs.

With 2 sites opening shortly there are vacancies to be filled... have think about it and contact me if you need further information.

Best regards
Neil.

hi, i know it has been sometime since you posted this thread, but me and my wife are looking to emigrate to australia but were a bit concern about the mechanics rate of pay over there,i am fully qualified mechanic and M.O.T tester who has experience over 10 yrs.

I would be a great help if you can tell me the rate of pay you have in Perth, and if your still looking for new employee.

Thank you and hoping to hear from you soon.
