hi i've had the TRA check & my visa has just come through as a general electrican. I have been working as a sparks for 9 years in the UK. The work is mainly new house wiring, air conditioners and safety switches, it is based around the Brisbane area & you will be working supervised until the Qld licence is sorted out, please email your cv and call us when you arrive in Oz.

I have just started the visa process i am preparing my tra forms my agent asking for a reference off my apprenticeship employers from 15 years ago trying to sort it out so when i get my visa we moving to brisbane area been a sparky for 20 years

My names Gary Youngman and I've been in Oz now for 4 months. I am a timed served electricain. I am at the moment trying to sort my Qld license out, and getting more and more frustrated. I'm still trying to get my domestic license from the TRA after already being classed as General Electrician. I am living near Marochydore. Have you any jobs going in this area or do you know firms like yourself that help out us UK electricians

There seems to be plenty of jobs around, but you need to get a Queensland Electrical License. I'm having a few problems sorting this out at moment.

[Hi, I know you're looking for electricians, but do you know of anyone that needs a painter.Still in Ireland, but could be there soon if I could get help with sponsorship.My wife is a hairdresser, high on the list, but the visa process takes ages,if we had a sponsor it'd only take 6 weeks through an agent.I hope you do'nt think I'm cheeky, but it's worth a try.
Could you reccomend anywhere nice to buy a house in Brisbane? Not city,but not too far out either, we have a 6yr old daughter.

HEY SANDY JUST COME ACROSS YOUR THREAD AND AM OZ BOUND WAS LOOKING FOR INFO ON HOW TO GET A LICENSE AND FOUND YOU MY TRA APPLICATION HAS JUST BEN RETURNED SUCCESSFUL AND AM HOPING TO SETTLE BY MAY 08 BEN OVER IN JUNE AND WORK LOOKED QUITE PLENTIFUL ALSO OVER AGAIN IN NOVEMBER SO ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT
