Sounds like a great job for a parent... That school hours thing is excellent.

Don't skimp on the pay though.

This thread is discriminatory which says a lot about what you can expect the employer to be, I wouldn't go near it......

I thought it would only be a matter of time before someone pointed it out. It wasn't going to be me though.

No, probably not.

Look, let's not be silly though, because this would basically suit someone who's caring for children from school, whether they are female or male. It's more likely, statistically, to be female but the possibility is there for a male too.

Not only that, but the hours are flexible for the right person so that sounds like a really good deal.
My situation is so difficult right now, I'd love to have a job which would allow me to go pick up my children from school.

Between the wife and I we have to juggle work hours with picking kids up, it's not a male or female thing is it ?

Years ago liberated women fought workplace discrimination and quite rightly so, but it doesnt make it ok for anyone to advertise a job, asking for a woman unless they have an exemption for it.

Ok, I'll argue with you. It's not sexist. Stay at home men should be called Mums instead of Dads, since they're doing women's work anyway.

Yes, women's work but mum is mother and mother is female unless youre a male seahorse that is.
