When will Italy open up?
OK I know this is a difficult one but do any of you good people out there have a rough idea of when Italy may be open for business. I understand that it depends on vaccine roll outs etc but any clue would be much appreciated.

Italy is open for "business". Depending on what business you're talking about. Football is still going on for example (topical joke there). Do you mean "tourism"?

OK sorry I probably didn't express myself very well there. What I mean is that in the UK there is a plan to loosen up restrictions progressively with a target of the 21st. June is there a similar plan in Italy?

Well they're planning to start opening up from next week, but as only 3 OAPs, 2 lawyers and a dog have been vaccinated I doubt it will do much good. The hope is to open up for tourism, butthe rules are as dependent on what other countries do as what they do here. Italy wont be on the UK green list for a while, thats for sure.

I understood what you meant. Sorry if my reply seemed l a bit strange. I was aiming for 'lighthearted'. :-)
Yes there's a sort of roadmap to reopen. Which is a positive sign. But just like in the UK it depends what sectors you are asking about, and so you need to explain what you want to know about.
Some parts of the reopening have already started. For example Brits can now enter Italy (according to Italian restrictions) and there are special covid free flights from the USA and, as Modicasa said, there might be a few more changes from next week in some regions and certain sectors, but that doesn't mean that the country will be open...there's still going to be lots of restrictions for a while yet and the govt aren't even confirming what changes will happen next week until Friday pm!
We're hoping for a bit more freedom to travel and visit people outside of our town. I want to visit family and friends in the UK. Or for them to be able to come here....Maybe June? but I am not counting any chickens just yet!
