Italian TV is fairly easy to get on via satellite in the UK as long as you don't use the Sky UK digibox. Just point the dish to Hotbird and tune your box 11766 V 27500 2/3 for Rai or 11804 V 27500 2/3 for the other Italian channels. The signal is quite strong and you won't be faced with the problems people have trying to get UK tv in Italy. They do block the signal, however, for sporting events.
