Default Telephone Preference Service

Does anyone know if there is a telephone preference service you can register on to filter out nuisance/marketing calls.

In theory yes, but you have to write to them, they dont pick up the phone.... (Im not being trite!) - Ill see if I can find the address - they only filter out certain types of call though,

It is on both phones really, but I am getting loads of "private caller" calls on my mobile, which end up being sales calls. I don't answer "private caller" or numbers I don't recognise, but would like to just blanket stop them getting through in the first place.

If you have an android phone there's an app apparently that will block calls. On an iphone the instructions are here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201229

My Android phone has a Blocking option as part of its standard build, so you may not need an app.
Try going to Settings > Personalisation > and select Blocking Mode.
There are various options including only receiving notifications from numbers in your Contact list. (See attached screenshot.)

Will have to take a look at that. I do have it, but will have to mull over which options to use.
