Arrow Teaching English. Working for someone else's benefit. Would like a bit of advice.

Hi guys,
I've been working in Italy (temporarily) for 3 years. In April, I decided to move here permanently. I love it. I don't want to leave.
Unfortunately, the business I came to work for(very small English teaching company) has very much changed the terms of my employment and, since I'm doing all the work and giving someone else the money, I'm thinking I'll attempt to set up on my own as soon as the boss (who happens to be Sindaco in my commune) has sorted out my residency (it is nearly done...I'm told!)

Now, I don't mind paying tax however extortionate it may be; if other people can make a business work here, so can I. However, I can't find any reliable information on what taxes I should pay in order to construct a business plan and find out if my ideas are viable! Can anyone help or recommend an English speaking accountant I can pay to help me?

I'm also interested in hearing from anyone who works in the teaching field as to websites or place that I might advertise my fledgling business.

Thanks for your reply Mikethomo

I am based in Lombardia, near Bergamo. I would be really interested to talk to an English accountant working in Italy if there is any way to get in touch?

Thanks again

Your problem, it seems to me, is that your Mayor, ex employer and soon to be implacable enemy, will have to rubber stamp your application to open a school, premises, licence etc etc - I would wait until he is no longer mayor ro choose the comune next door.
