Sending Wine Overseas...
 
Can anyone make any suggestions of how to economically send wine to Australia?? It is for non commercial purposes.

Better check that you can first, the Australians are funny about what you can import. Are you just talking about a gift?

Yeah.... and I am funny, but not funny ha ha , funny strange!!! Australia Post does it, but it is complicated... it's just a bottle of amarone for my brother. Just checking out other options.

Well your best course of action is going to be by DHL, but make sure its wrapped well and preferably boxed. You will be asked to make a customs declaration on shipping, declaring a value on the gift

If you are determined I'd use one of the many enoteca's that will ship wine for you - it may well work out cheaper to send him a case than one bottle!!:)
