From the days when we used to make holidays in Italy (= decades ago...) I remember that pickpockets were common, but they were not violent.
It now seems that the influx of Eastern nationalities has made Europe a lot less safe, a shame really.
Good to hear that they caught the culprits, so the police seems to function...
Thieves with guns is real bad news.

Yea, a friend of mine has 3 Rotty's... and one time someone tried to break in (little did thye know about the dogs) and he got taken down in a heartbeat and arrested.

The bastard tried to charge the house owner for assault though -_- but lucky it didn't go that far.

Dogs = Security, when im back in uk with a settled house im gonna get my self a staff or something else.
