renovation villa in sicily
hi my sister is puchasing a villa in southern sicily just out side syracuse. can some one tell me if builders merchants will deliver materials . or will i need to get my own transport to collect. frank

Do you want them to deliver materials for you to work with or for them to do the job? There are lots of regulations here about doing up properties and having the correct town hall permissions.

Where I live they all deliver but they charge quite a bit for only travelling a few miles. If it is heavy stuff it is quite good to have someone to help move it off the vehicle.

Here in Abruzzo it depends on how much you are spending, but delivery for us has been a small cost (less than €20).

Some deliver, some not - usually your builder will take care of it. If you are planning to do work yourself, make sure you are allowed to. If you are in Plemmirio, Fanusa, Ognina etc - you need to be very careful about what you do with no permissions.
