Default Receive electricity bills via email.

Hi All,
I have a house in San Vito dei Normanni and because I don't yet speak Italian I have been really struggling to achieve the above. I have been into an ENEL office in Ostuni but unfortunately the assistant didn't speak any English. After completing a form which contained details on my bill and details of my email I thought the task was done. Two months later and back in UK I receive an email from a contact in Italy who is still receiving my bills in spite of my efforts. Can anybody recommend someone who can act on my behalf to sort this for me?
Regards,
Richard.

A while since I had a look, but the only way to get emailed bills was to register an Italian card or have DD payments made. However the easiest (says he) is to register on-line and you can download your bills, these in any case are available up to 2 weeks before mine arrive in the snailmail… Use Google translate if your Italian is not too good on the site.

There used to be an office in S Vito in the comune square same place as the tourist information office

Are you with Enel or Enel Energia? if the former you can register here by clicking attivala subito (they are doing system upgrade so you can't do it right now) https://www.servizioelettriconaziona...servizi/online

I've been to that same ENEL office in Ostuni to arrange to have my (paper) bills sent to me here in the UK. I think there is also one in San Vito. My neighbour came along with me to do the translating as my Italian is basic at best. I suggest you do the same as it always makes things easier to have a native speaker with you. After many years of going round in circles on the clunky ENEL website I only just this week finally managed to fully set up an account to pay my bill from right here in the UK with Paypal and it worked first time. I haven't yet figured out how to get my bills sent to me online but I'm working on it..

I'm guessing ENEL have finally found themselves a decent IT specialist who has revamped the website to make it much more user friendly as it used to be pathetically clunky and every time I would make the attempt to register I would find myself back on the same page after going round in circles for an hour. Infuriating, but seemingly a whole lot better now... Might be worth your having a look and trying to figure it out ...

Just log on, go to you bills list and click the download. Your current bill will be listed separate until (at top) until paid. I would have provided the link, but don't have access just now. Once you find the list of bills, mark the page as a favourite and used it next time. You may have to log in again, but it should take you straight to it. Good advice about paypal.
