Paris to Milan by TGV train
I've just come across this, and I thought other members might be interested

(The TGV really is good, and not as expensive as you might think, especially if you book well ahead or get some special offer - ask the SNCF, or Rail Europe.)

I did this last month Sancho and enjoyed every single minute. The train was comfortable and punctual. I left Turin at 10am and was in Paris by 4pm - just in time for a nice aperitif of Kir

This route was featured on Top Gear a few weeks ago. Wembley at 4am to Milan by 6pm on the same day.
