Overseas voter renewal - trial service

Has anybody received an invitation email from their local council? In the email, you're offered 15 quid in return for testing a new digital service for renewing overseas voter registrations.

I think any participation is voluntary.

Does the email ask for your bank details so they can pay the 15 quid?

As long as you've checked that the email address is kosher, and I'd get it paid into your PayPal account.

I have received such an invitation which I believed to be genuine. However, having neither a Paypal nor Wise account, I did not submit details. I am surprised that a UK government agency would use either of these services.

How can you live without a Wise account?

I have my UK and Swiss state pensions paid directly to my Belgian account. Are you not IR85'd in HMRC-speak?
