The SP36, strada provinciale, so not a main road, but still quite some length. So the answer depends on where on the SP36? On Google maps here you can drive along it, pick up coordinates to identify exactly where, it looks nice and rural here.

it depends where along sp 36 the property is, you could be within walking distance or 5km away if at the Serranova end. Just to add your nearest supermarket is Penny Market

As Clint and Geordie mention, it's a long road but it's a nice area. I used to live between the 35 and 36. My unrequested advice for a holiday home is make sure it's secure and not too isolated. Neighbours with dogs are the best security. A lot of homes in the area further from the town are summer homes. Those within 2km of the town are mostly occupied all year round.

The only thing about Italian dogs is that they tend to bark a lot at night.... There was a dog breeder at the end of my lane (on the SP28) who bred huskies and they made a racket all night long. You do tend to get used to it over time though.

There is a Lidl in San Vito as well as the above mentioned Penny Market. There's also a big supermarket on the road heading out of San Vito towards Caravigno but I can't remember the name of it now...
