Maybe I need some legal advice ?
Could probably do with some legal advice. We had a pool installed 5 years ago (in Lucca). It was all done above board with the correct permissions etc etc. We settled the account with the builders, installers, architects everybody. Then suddenly out the blue 5 years on I get an email from their architects solicitor demanding payment for a Geologist and some undisclosed amount for the architects service!
All accounts were settled 5 years ago and there wasn't any bad feeling I was aware of. Anyone experienced anything like this ?

Yep it sounds a common scam! Ask for full details, dates and times and exact location of work done.

You will have to find all your receipts and invoices. We had a solicitors letter asking money for a broken broadband router 4 years after we had moved to another provider.

I wonder if your Architect's Studio has gone bankrupt and a solicitor has been appointed by the creditors?
