Local knowledge Sorrento area

Good morning British expats,
I am hoping someone might be able to help me with some local recommendations.
My mother has arranged for a family holiday in Campania to celebrate 2 significant birthdays. A handful coming from the UK and my sister and her finace are joining us from Australia. Last week my sister surprised us with wanting to do their wedding blessing while we are together as our mother's medical restrictions mean she can't fly to Oz.
My sister has asked my mother and me to find a venue (her way of involving us) which we are very happy to do, but as no-one in the family speaks Italian we are at a bit of a disadvantage!
The specifics she has requested are outside/garden for the extremely small ceremony, but as private as poss, followed by a meal in a lovely restaurant. So nothing extravagant and hopefully easy to sort.
My mother and I were thinking of somewhere with Vesuvius in the background, but that is not essential. My brother and his 2 daughters are hoping to join us from France for the day but we are talking small numbers - def 6, poss 9.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
Thank you in anticipation, Mrs A Lloyd

Ravello is a very pleasant place not far from Sorrento. No views of Vesuvio however.
You might look at Hotel Villa Cimbrone Hotel Villa Cimbrone - Ravello - Amalfi Coast - Italy
and the nearby Giardini di Villa Cimbrone.
B&B costs Euro500 per night but you can get into the gardens for just Euro7. http://wevillas.ch/news/villa-cimbro...are-i-giardini

Sorrento and the surrounding area are now very popular as wedding venues.
The possibilties are endless. Best venues are those offered by the town hall, such as the Cloister of Saint Francis and the adjacent Villa Comunale, overlooking the Bay and Vesuvius; or the Correale Musem, in the Hall of Mirrors and its beautiful garden also overlooking the Bay and Vesuvius.
In the nearby town of Piano di Sorrento the Villa Fondi, owned by Piano di Sorrento town hall you can do the whole caboozle, ceremony and catering.
In Sorrento itself, for catering there is an enormous choice, and the same for accommodation. Your first stop should be the Town Hall website, available in English at Home Page - Comune di Sorrento (NA) and possibly a wedding specialist tour operator in UK. DIY can be a bit of a risk.
Good luck with your plans, you've made a good choice for venue.

A couple more ideas that have come to mind, both central near comune (town hall) and also near the Villa Comunale and cloister of St. Francis:
www.palazzomarziale.com
BELLEVUE SYRENE OFFICIAL WEBSITE | BELLEVUE SYRENE SORRENTO OFFICIAL WEBSITE | LUXURY HOTEL SORRENTO | FIVE STAR HOTEL | 5 STAR LUXURY HOTEL SORRENTO COAST | 5 STAR LUXURY SORRENTO COAST | SUITE SORRENTO

Do you mean somebody to just bless the couple ............ or an actual wedding service?

If it is the latter than there will be paperwork involved in both countries that will take time to get organised and the bans have to be published in the town hall.

Many of my suggestions would be able to provide a complete wedding service, including much of the paperwork stuff.

That's good to know as we all know how much of a nightmare paperwork can be here.
