But the Yanks are the same where germs are concerned! I read a thread on "another" site about this swine flu - someone commented that maybe it would encourage people to have cleaner habits!! How pompous! He was suggesting that we all carry little bottles of disinfectant around with us as a matter of course - the number of Yanks that agreed with him and went on to say which brand they used was astonishing!! Seems to be something we have in common with the French - they aren't as preoccupied with germs as other European countries and very few of their kids get asthma.

I have this all the time with my American sister in law actually. I think it is very selfish to flood your water system with triclosan and the like personally...... actually don't get me started on my ecowarriorism and my anti-americanism today!!!!!
