IVA deducted from insurance payout

IVA deducted from insurance payout
Hi everyone; we've been offered a reasonable settlement to an insurance claim but the IVA for the total invoiced cost has been deducted, is this right? Obviously we are liable to the excess but should we also pay all the IVA on the claim? (It's not much so it's probably just me being tight-fisted.)

Just by way of a follow up: the IVA was deducted because the invoice we submitted (from the contractor) was only a "prefattura uso interno", not a fattura fiscale. Had it been the latter then the IVA would have been paid to us.
