Italian tax strips on cognac and whiskey bottles
I have 3 bottles of cognac and one of kentucky bourbon with pink tax strips (bandoleres). I suspect they're vintage. Have spent ages researching online but can't arrive at any definitive results. Is anyone here an expert who could either point me in the right direction or have specialist knowledge? 2 bottles of Couvoisier, 1 Martell and a Kentucky Bourbon.
Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks philat98. Will try to send photos tomorrow. Labels are intact but i thought tax strips are now blue, my bottles have pink ones which I think went out in the 70's.

I can't come up with anything useful on Google, nor do I know how to upload photos ( despite searching this website) so we'll drink the stuff and useit in cooking. Life's too short to waste any more time on this but thanks for responding to my OP.

It's possibly worth mentioning that spirits - as opposed to wine - don't age as such in the bottle. In theory once bottled, provided it is not opened, the product should remain unchanged for ever (or at least decades). So if you are thinking in terms of improvements in quality I wouldn't get your hopes up. But the good side is, they should still be perfectly drinkable. So enjoy with a clear conscience
