This is the bit which makes it hard for us... although we have both been driving for over 10 years we are both under 30 and also not low milage - I'm gonna estimate 20,000 - 25,000 km per year, mainly because I commute and we also tend to use the swift for longer journeys (like our trip to Tuscany in October, or last weekend's outing to the mountains) because it's GPL so much cheaper than OHs diesel Alfa Romeo!

Another thing about Campania: Only region in Italy where you pay full roadtax on GPL cars - no discounts at all. Everywhere else you pay no road tax for 3 years!

That's a bummer. E.G. can't allow anyone under 28 to drive mine now.

Hi Scozzese,

how does this work? We had our fiesta converted to gpl in January, so are we entitled to 3 years off or does it only apply to new cars?

Hi Tia,

In Puglia I think the exemption is actually for 5 years - http://www.motorionline.com/2012/12/...lo-per-5-anni/

Looks like it applies to conversions too,and luckily it looks like you just scraped in.. if you had converted in december you wouldn't have got it! You need to contact your local ACI office.

Good luck!
