Illiad Telecom
Offering unlimited calls SMS and 50GB data and free calls to any European country for 7.99 pm pay as you go for life. Wondering if anyone has tried it.

Re: Illiad Telecom
Kena might be a better choice because it uses the TIM network and there is Ho that uses Vodafone. It comes down to coverage in your area and if Illiads own infrastructure is well done.

Re: Illiad Telecom
Also gives 4 gig of data when abroad. My wife has had her Iliad SIM for a month now and mine was delivered today to replace my Vodafone one that was costing me €11 per month for 30 gb. Coverage seems fine here in the mountains down south.

Re: Illiad Telecom
Thanks, their coverage here looks very good, might well be worth a try.

Re: Illiad Telecom
I got it. Very happy so far. Good coverage in Modena.

Re: Illiad Telecom
Do any of those who currently use Illiad also use online banking? When the offer first came out I know there were a few banks who didn't recognise the company and would not/could not send SMS codes for online authorisations (my bank BPER included). It would be a good to know if things had changed.

Re: Illiad Telecom
Another question is can you transfer your number okay?

Re: Illiad Telecom
A nephew of mine has Illiad and swears by it. But bearing in mind that he's a millenium snow flake and only uses his top of the range iphone to to take photos and spend the day on social media, I don't think he'll be using any serious apps like banking and so on. I looked into it a couple of months ago when it was really silly cheap, and it wasn't offering what I needed. In the end switched from tim to vodaphone and am very happy with their offer. Tim was draining money from my account in very sneaky ways.
Ciao for now, 'o nonno. |
Re: Illiad Telecom
Was wondering about it for my teenage kids but was waiting to see who had it here up North first. A few friends have switched and had no problems. They like it. One of them uses it to download films and then somehow plugs them into his TV to watch on the big screen.

I don't have a TV and use it as hub to watch and download films and BBC, France 24 etc. All without drop outs. |

Lorna there are many (easy) ways to do this these days, depends on the gear you have, but something like a fire stick or chromecast or simply via usb if the tv has one will do it.
