House move
We're moving house and need to get the car re-registered to the new address. Presumably there's a web page somewhere that explains how to do this, and if some kind person could point me to it I'd be grateful. Or should I just go along to the local ACI office?

I think you have to take your new residence document with your new address to the Motarizzazione office along with your carta di circolazione.(registration doc). You have to get a new residence document even if you are staying in the same comune.

It might be a good idea to make copies of your residence permit, passport and driving licence just in case they are needed to support your application.

Our comune send the request for a change of address when we re-egistered with them. The stickers arrived by post. We, of course, stuck them in the wrong pace on the log book. The CC were not amused when they stopped us.

Re: House move
An update. When we went to our new comune to register our change of residence they noted details of the carta di circolazione and gave us a bit of paper to show the carabinieri if stopped, pending the dispatch to us of a correction slip. It was all very simple and I was much impressed!
