Default Help in Venice

Does anyone know any English speaking people living in Venice i could meet up with next week (06/11/06-) for a chat about their opinions on the city/people etc...?

I'm a sixth year architecture student at Newcastle University in NE England.

I'm thinking of redesigning the 'Academy Bridge' in Venice with a museum of the city above, as part of a competition run there earlier this year, see;

PM me for link to site

I've visited the city before, but don't know it very well, and i'm struggling to access information about it or know who to speak to in the city.

If anyone can help in any way i'd be very very grateful because i'm at a bit of a loose end!!!

Cheers

Tom

I don't live in Venice or know anyone who does (very difficult, have you seen the cost of accommodation there, and you can't buy) but I live nearby (half an hour) and I go there often. Probably no help to you whatsoever, but thought I'd let you know!

Ciao Tom,

I too do not actually live in Venice (about an hour by train), but have been a couple of times since we moved here a few months ago. Probably not much help either but if there is anything I can do just yell and I will try my best.

Have you tried contacting any English or language schools in the area? A quick search on Pagine Gialle (Italian Yellow Pages) should bring up a few you could try.

Good luck with your project.
