Re: Fibre optic broadband
I had 100mb fibre optic in Naples in 2002. Renzi is saying 50% of the population by 2020 - which means big cities, Seeing that milan, Rome, Naples, Torino, Bologna already have had fibre optic for years they might just about reach the target. ;O

In 2002? Naples was faster than London? I cannot believe that!
Anyway, worldwide average is 22Mbps. Italy is in the top 100! |

Were we live in Turin they've had Fastweb for years too. Unfortunately, the last few metres are still the old telecom line held together with string. |

Re: Fibre optic broadband
True, when I moved about 400m to the north there was only basic ISDN on offer at the time, so I did live in a charmed road. And it was 2003. I checked.
