Default Euro 3 Cars

My partner mumbled something last night about his car being a euro 3. I've had a quick glance around internet at the legislation, but what are people supposed to do with these cars? Who's going to buy them if you can't drive around in them? Are they all going to end up on scrap heaps somewhere?

Euro 4 in Milan this week as well, I think. Turin blocked euro 4 & 5 for weeks last year. Diesel cars. We have an euro 4 diesel and we can still use it in Verona, but it's a problem in Turin. We need a new car, it's not urgent, but we need to start thinking. We have a clue what to get.

Tricky decision to decide what to buy.
Buying an electric car is still darned expensive, and there doesn't appear to be the charging network in place yet. Hybrids are certainly an option that we would look at if buying now. Failing those two options then petrol is much less polluting than diesel.

hmm in some respects that's true but diesel produces less CO2 but more NOx and soot. You can argue it both ways

Generally, the whole emissions situation is a scam for the purpose of increasing tax over people via car ownership. More tax results in more power to a small group of elites while oppressing the majority. The Paris accord was set to move companies out of our countries, millions lose their jobs while the companies set up elsewhere and employ cheap labor, the relocation being done under a claim of balancing pollution etc, all total and complete lies. The Americans pulled out of the "Paris let's find new ways to tax populations scam" and they were right to do so. The president made the decision based upon sound advice from "real" climate scientists and not these dodgy ( overpaid-bribed) researchers who create one-way reports and ignore reality, these dodgy reports get plastered on the front pages of fake news mainstream outlets. It is true that localized pollution can increase within cities due to motor traffic there is no denying this but taxing people will not fix that, creating electric cars is a way forward and the technology has existed for near on 30 years to do this-cheaply. But this tech has been suppressed by greedy Oil giants and corrupted politicians. Of course, the planet's lungs are being hammered, rain forests hacked down but this is the same corporations which profit from this, it is not done by us the people. On TV you will be shown pollution hotspots in oceans and on land while totally ignoring the countless thousands of square miles which are pollution free. The fact is the planet has been warming up for a very long time, with occasional cooling periods because this is how our planet works. On the grand scale of things, nothing we do will overly change this, The entire planet's population could comfortably fit inside California with room to spare, pull back from the planet and look at the size of California compared to the rest of the planet and the truth slips into real perspective. What do do with your Euro 3 car? Hang on to it, one by one the corrupted politicians are falling in Europe, people are waking up, Normality will soon return.

Anyone want to vote Richard555's twaddle is the biggest example of fake news on this forum?
