Default Driving schools

Hi. Sorry not been on for a while - life getting back to normal. Does anyone know if you can you book refresher lessons 'courses' at driving schools , or am I better to ask at the ACI office (as a member) - I ask because I think I may have to start driving a manual car rather than an automatic (due to the expense of buying) but I haven't driven one in over 30 years , so I'm scared! Any information most welcome.

All new learners, once they have passed the theory exam, have to do a minimum number of hours with a quilified instructor and prices per hour can range from €20 to €50 and you don't always get a full hour because an intsructor can take two or three students out at a time.
I would go to your nearest driving school and explain that you haven't driven a manual car for so many years and if possible, you'd like to book some one on one lessons with their instructor in the driving school dual control car. Most new learners are teens who are at school or work in the mornings so you might be able to book some morning lessons. I have no idea what prices are like in the big cities, but nobody up here charges over €30 per lesson.
