hey I was wondering if any one out there can offer me any sort of advice? My girlfriend has he dog arriving from England next week so we are collecting him from naples, the easy part is getting him from there to sicily by direct boat but we then have to transport him by bus.
has anyone transported a pet by bus?

also we priced a travel box, the cheapest was 80 euros which i think is expensive, is that the normal for one here?

Have you tried a supermarket. You might be able to get him an economy one there. You can here.

If you want one that lasts choose one of the Italian manufacturers such as Ferplast, Fop, Imac or Marchioro from either supermarkets or petstores. The Petmate carriers are also excellent. Depending on the size of the dog, you'd need something like a 60-70cm long carrier, right?
I've no idea regarding retail prices but the large supermarkets tend to have a pet department.
